Recently, I’ve bought some Nintendo switch games. But I feel like they are not the games which I really wanted to play when I just start playing the game. It sounds a bit weird, because the one to buy them at that moment was me. Then why can I not enjoy those games, which looked me so interesting? Let’s follow the process that I’d follow in the case when I want to buy a new game.
It sounds a bit weird since I was the one who bought them. / it’s funny because I’m the one who bought them
To be honest, I sometimes accidentally buy a game. The reason is usually that I just wanted to play a new game. In that case where I bought the game because I just wanted to do it, it’d be abandoned even after few days.
If I buy a game just because I feel like it, I usually stop playing after a few days. 🤖: it’d be abandoned”
Firstly, let’s see which genre is most common of those games. I’d say tactics games are the best example to explain this situation. They look me so interesting and I also think that ‘I would definitely enjoy that game because it looks awesome, the design is beautiful, and I can do it forever!’. Since I always want me to buy something wisely, the most important thing to purchase a new game for me is whether I can play it for a long time or not. And usually, the tactics games can be played multiple times whenever I want to play it again. But the important part I also usually overlook is that I’m not the person who wants eagerly to achieve a high score of a level. So if the highest score is 3 stars, I’ll be just satisfied with even the 1 star, because I could pass the level and the ranking would’t matter to me!
They look so interesting to me, and I always think, ‘I’d definitely enjoy this game-it looks awesome, the design is beautiful, and I could play it forever!’ 🤖: “look me so interesting”
Since I always try to buy games wisely, the most important thing for me is whether I can enjoy it for a long time. 🤖: “want me to buy”는 어색해요. 자기 자신에게 ‘want me to’라고 하지 않아요.
Now, I can easily imagine the next question to me. Someone can ask like, “So why have you kept buying a tactics game even though you already know that you’d be boring to the game so fast?” Yeah, it’s true. I shouldn’t have bought so many tactics games. However, you should know that the point when I want to find a new game is always the time when I get bored of my games. My favorite genres are managing a restaurant and Rogue-like. Mostly, I enjoy only either of them at a time. They take turns being played by me. But if there’s another period that I don’t want to play even neither of them, at that moment, I’ll look for a new game in the nintendo e-shop. And if I was not able to find an interesting game, a tactics game could be fascinating for me. According to this process, I would end up buying a non-enjoyable game again.
Someone might ask, ‘Then why do you keep buying tactics games even though you know you’ll get bored of them so fast?’ 🤖: “can ask like” → “might ask”가 더 자연스러움. “you’d be boring to the game” → “boring”은 ‘지루한’ 사람에게 쓰는 말 아님. ‘get bored of the game’이 맞음.
My favorite genres are restaurant management games and rogue-like games.
I usually play them in turns. / I switch between the two
And if I can’t find anything interesting, a tactics game suddenly looks tempting. ‘could be fascinating for me’는 너무 책 느낌.
To avoid from the situation, I should remind of the fact that I won’t enjoy a tactics game when I’m likely to buy it. By just doing that, it’d be helpful for me to prevent wasting my precious money :D.
To avoid this situation, I should remind myself that I won’t actually enjoy a tactics game, no matter how appealing it looks at the moment. 🤖: “avoid from”은 틀림. “remind of the fact”도 딱딱한 번역투.
